Resident Platinum PADI Course Director Richard Swann teaches 4 Go PRO candidates the PADI Wreck Specialty Instructor course at our premier PADI 5 Star IDC beach house on Gaya Island!

The training dives must be organised by the Go PRO students themselves as they are already certified PADI Instructors and will conduct the course independently after certification. During the dives, Richard will oversee the dive activities to ensure each of his students meet the performance requirements as they role-play as the Instructor.

Go PRO interns Sophie and Martin are joined by Downbelow PADI Instructor staff members Mel and Vui How and the four Go PRO divers will act as a team to complete the dives. It is important they do because the wreck in Tunku Abdul Rahman Park that we use for training purposes is located at a deep part of the reef!

Instructors must be aware of air consumption, decompression limits, hazards of the wreck and the natural hazards, which are part and parcel of wreck diving, such as poor visibility and strong current.

Scuba diving is a fun sport when conducted safely and we at Downbelow make safety our top priority during all activities conducted!
