We’re delighted to find an article by Project AWARE Foundations’ Hannah Pragnell-Raasch on our marine conservation efforts in the latest edition of the PADI Undersea Journal!

Our resident Platinum PADI Course Director Richard Swann took this photo, which was used for the article, and it shows our Go PRO internship candidates working together to remove an illegal ‘ghost net’ from further damaging the delicate coral reef ecosystem.

The article raises public awareness of the biggest plight to our marine environment in the local area, which is marine debris. Marine debris can be anything from hundreds of metres of illegally dumped fishing net to plastic products, and is a ‘silent killer’ to our seas and oceans.

We are dedicated supporters to the Project AWARE movement, frequently contributing to our shared mission to protect the environment.

Adventure groups visiting our premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre volunteer their efforts to achieve a unique experience to learn more about our tropical environment. Get in touch with our Head Office for more details on how to contribute with us!
