Day 1
We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Kota Kinabalu around 05:30 in the morning to start your drive across the mountainous Crocker Range.
Enjoy the panoramic views of valleys and Mt. Kinabalu as you drive along the ridge of the low-lying hills.
Upon arrival at Kinabalu National Park, you will check in at the park HQ and register for your climb to the Laban Rata plateau. Meet your mountain guide who will be with you on your ascent to Laban Rata at 3,272.7m altitude and descent back to Timpohon Gate.
The view alone will be well worth the effort. Enjoy the changes in vegetation and bird and insect life as you ascent and descent through the different climactic zone.
Your guide carries with him a wealth of knowledge for those who make a little effort to communicate.
Back in the park you will overnight at your choice of residence within Kinabalu Park again. Good sleep is sure to be yours.
Day 2
You then continue with your private Kinabalu Park & Poring Hot Springs trip, which offers great flexibility. Whether you’d like to explore the nature trails at Kinabalu Park or head on over to Poring Hot Springs there’s much to explore.
Explore jungle trail, rivers to walk along, rare flowers to discover, and plenty of culture and history to learn about at the World Heritage Site Information Centre.
You can also choose to explore the jungle canopy from 45m above the jungle floor, soak in the sulfur-rich water of Poring Hot Spring, or try your luck at searching for the rarest bloom, the Rafflesia flower.
Whichever way you prefer it, at the end of the day you’ll overnight at your choice of residence at Kinabalu Park.
Day 3
Day 3 sees you waking up at your own pace to enjoy breakfast at the Balsam Cafe.
Your morning is at leisure. The journey back from the park will be between 12:00 and 17:00. We will confirm the time to you on Day 3.
