Downbelow said farewell to our latest university group from the USA.
The budding biologists studying for their degrees at the La Vern University, California have spent the last couple of weeks in Sabah taking in the sights and sounds of one of the most diverse tropical regions on the planet.
The group led by Jeffery Burkhart (PhD) enjoyed a few days with the crew at Downbelow’s PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre where they were shown the best the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park can offer.
The highlight of their time in the island was the sighting of a school of Blacktip Reef Sharks in the open water – yes we have sharks here in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
All participants were taken good care of by the Downbelow crew and obviously everyone had a ball.
Thank you Professor Jeff and the rest of the gang, we wish you a safe journey home and we are looking forward to your next visit.
