A big group of clients visit our premium PADI 5 Star IDC beach house at Gaya Island today to participate in the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program!
Our Instructor Development Course (IDC) interns assist for the invaluable experience from the exposure to real life diving situations.
As part of our Go PRO internship programs, professional candidates develop by experiencing the real dive lifestyle and observing the operations of our dive centre. Employers seek experienced PADI professionals because the education of diving is through real diving and not simulated role-playing.
During a PADI Discover Scuba Diving program, our IDC interns will understand how to conduct the experience program with particular focus on diver safety.
To begin with, a briefing is given on such topics as, the skills that must be mastered in the confined water session, diving practices relating to body positioning and movement, water pressure and physical effects of diving.
Some simple skills must be performed by the students, for the PADI Instructor to assess the divers’ comfort level and decide whether to progress the program to the first open water dive. The PADI Instructor will not only brief his students, but also his assistant on what is expected from an assistant, which is to support the Instructor in the supervision and control of student divers’ during all dive activities.
At Downbelow, safety is the highest priority and we maintain our high standard on diver safety by emphasizing its importance through our approach to diver training.
Our Go PRO interns will be prepared thoroughly to successfully complete their IDC and progress to become candidates for the Instructor Exam (IE) and qualify to live the diving dream as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor!
