We are proud to announce that Downbelow is the Professional Association of Diving Instructors’s PADI Dive Center of the Month.
Every month PADI highlights just one of their over 6,000 dive centres around the world for delivering above standard and “consistent excellence in dive training and customer satisfaction.”
The PADI Dive Center of the Month award is proof of our customers’ satisfaction and staff dedication to high quality service; feedback of which is regularly given to and collected by PADI.
One example of such feedback is from Australians Matthew Gilliland and Kyla Booth, recent Downbelow Pro Interns, who wrote to PADI to highlight their exceptional experience at our PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre on Gaya Island in Sabah, Malaysia.
“We were so impressed with [Downbelow] and staff there, we returned every school holiday for the past year”, said Matthew in a letter to PADI about their journey of becoming diving professionals with PADI Dive Center of the Month Downbelow.
“All but one of our dive courses have been completed in Sabah at Downbelow. We have been taught by new instructors right through to the Course Director and all have been brilliant in their teaching of your courses.”
Most recently in January 2012, Matt and Kyla spent a month with Downbelow doing an Instructor Development Course tailored especially for their requirements and time constraints.
“The staff were patient when we were first started out”, said Matt about their professional internship, “and in the last month pushed us to the limit during our IDC, to get the best out of us and get us ready for our IE”.
“I can’t speak highly enough about a small company in Sabah, doing an amazing job”, he said.
