For many years now Downbelow Marine & Wildlife Adventures has been hosting the British Armed Forces for their Adventurous Training (AT) and we are very proud to welcome back once again the British Royal Gurkha Rifles to the land below the wind.
Adventurous Training (AT) is actually a valuable addition to formal military training. Through exposure to controlled risks, AT develops an individuals courage, leadership and teamwork. It’s a privilege for us to be involved again and our team really enjoy sharing their skill and professional experience with all of the participants. During this training exercise the Gurkhas will learn to scuba dive by completing the PADI Open Water Course. The ocean is not a familiar environment for the group which makes it a perfect environment for AT and our island-based PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre on Gaya Island in Tunku Abdul Rahman Park is an ideal location for such events.
