UK-based students from different schools visit our Gaya Island beach house facilities to enjoy a few nights’ camping whilst their days are spent exploring the natural environment of Borneo!
This summers 6th group of adventurers’ from Camps International have completed their various island activities, one of which was to qualify as a PADI Open Water Diver.
During their entry-level course, our PADI Instructors inspired the students to become environmentally aware and understand the value of learning the dive skills they needed to master and to certify. The students learnt about the harmful effects of plastic and other pollutants to our environment as they assisted our island staff team in collecting the marine debris from our shores at Gaya Island! This is a Project AWARE initiative to get people involved in cleanup events & raise awareness to where our publish can end up if not disposed of correctly.
We hope to see the students again one day to broaden their horizons in Sabah, where there is still so much for them to explore!
We cater to both small and large groups for a variety of activities of adventure training and team building, just contact our Head Office and one of our members of staff will be happy to discuss a suitable program!
