One of our PADI Instructors, Pablo, is sharing his knowledge and passion of scuba diving with his PADI Advanced Open Water student.
Qualifying as a PADI Advanced Open Water diver requires five open water training dives to be completed and a review of knowledge development correlating to those dives must be discussed between instructor and student. Two of these dives are mandatory to achieve certification, which are the deep dive and the underwater navigation dive. The combination of these disciplines will prepare the student diver for future dives to depths of up to 30 metres because this is the maximum depth set by PADI standards for recreational divers certified as PADI Advanced Open Water diver.
Pablo and his student complete these two dives, after a quick review of scuba diving skills and academic knowledge acquired from the entry-level PADI Open Water course.
The following day, Pablo won’t be teaching his student because she will be climbing to the summit of Mount Kinabalu instead! She’ll be back the following day to continue her PADI Advanced Open Water course though!
