Newly qualified PADI Advanced Open Water Borneo Adventure group

As October dawns on our September Borneo Adventure group, they leave Downbelow’s PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre on Gaya island as qualified PADI Advanced Open Water Divers.

Over the last week our group of adventurers have been camping out at Downbelow’s dive centre on Gaya island, where they learned how to dive.

First they became PADI Open Water Scuba Divers and immediately upgraded those skills by taking the PADI Advanced Open Water course too.

In between Downbelow’s resident PADI Course Director Richard Swann made sure they were aware of the fragility of their new playground and how to take care of it through the AWARE Corel Reef Conservation Speciality course.

Our Borneo Adventurers have so far explored Sabah’s jungles and oceans deep.

Next on the to do list is mountains high as they depart with the mission to climb Mt. Kinabalu.

We wish them all the best and eagerly keep an eye on their progress through Sabah as they experience all the adventures this beautiful land has to offer.

Check out the Borneo Adventure and if you and your group are up for the challenge, then do get in touch.
