PADI professionals must have basic first aid skills because they are responsible for the safety of others, so it’s a requirement when qualifying in the first professional level in the system of PADI dive education.
One of our Go PRO internship candidates is completing a 1-month program to achieve the PADI Divemaster certification at our premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre on Gaya Island, and to begin with, Jason will need to be certified as PADI Rescue Diver and in Emergency First Response.
The Emergency First Response course is an internationally recognized qualification of basic first aid, and Jason will finish the performance requirements of primary and secondary care for both adults and children. The knowledge from the course will benefit his understanding of the skills in the PADI Rescue Diver course, which his PADI Instructor Mel will be conducting concurrently.
