Our daily dive package from Kota Kinabalu includes 3 boat dives, on the the 3rd boat dive last week our divemaster and divers were very disturbed to find a fishing net on one of our best dive sites in Tunku Abdul Rahman Park – TARP.
We think it had already been there for one night as it had claimed the lives of Bamboo Sharks and a few fishes.
So, after the guests had departed from our paradise PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre for the day our staff team, decided to go and cut the net down.
It took about 1 and half hours to clear the net but we managed to remove it entirely with very little damage to the coral reef.
