Downbelow’s Gaya island PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre – just 10 mins from Kota Kinabalu – is heating up with excited internship activity, in the midst of which we welcome 2 more participants.
Resident PADI Course Director, Richard Swann, welcomed Leanne from the UK and Jake from Hong Kong to Downbelow’s successful professional scuba diver internship program.
Jake joins the Instructor Development Course, prep of which is happening right now, officially starting this Saturday, 4 February.
The course culminates in the PADI Instructor Examination, which takes place on 14 & 15 February here in Kota Kinabalu, under the auspices of PADI Examiners flying in from Sydney, Australia.
In the meantime, Leanne will start on her Divemaster Internship, starting off by qualifying as a PADI Rescue Diver.
After that she will learn the ropes (and how to knot them) under the guidance of Downbelow’s Go Pro Team, with her ultimate goal being PADI Divemaster.
Both Leanne and Jake will learn about the dive industry far beyond just gaining the knowledge of a divemaster and dive instructor.
We dive every day, so they will have ample opportunity to see and get involved in the daily operations of our busy dive centre.
Downbelow trains quality scuba diving professionals who are work-ready and experienced when they complete our internships.
