Our Downbelow Go PRO interns have completed their PADI Fish Identification Specialty Instructor course as part of their PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer rating.

PADI Fish Identification Specialty is a very popular course with a lot of flexibility in teaching because different diving destinations will be populated with different fish species. For this reason, an Instructor must study the marine life found in their local area. Certain PADI Specialty Instructor courses require a candidate to be qualified in the Specialty, but this can be completed alongside the Specialty Instructor course.

At our premium PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre, our staff enjoy discussing their interests in marine biology, particularly of rarely sighted marine life. Sharing your interests with your student diver is a very fulfilling part of a Go PRO divers’ career. During the Instructor-level course, a candidate will be expected to display control of dive activities and an exemplary level of supervision.

As Jen, Thibaut and Kaman will discover; the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating is a very attractive qualification to possess. Once they are certified, they will find more opportunities to teach their interests and develop techniques of diver acquisition and continuing their students’ education as well as their own.

The PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer course is incorporated into our 1-month internship program and can be scheduled at any time of the year. At Downbelow, many of our interns will enrol straight after successfully completing the Instructor Development Course and Examinations so a candidate doesn’t need teaching experience. However, as part of their internship program, Jen, Thibaut and Kaman are teaching and certifying some of our guests at Gaya Island for the experience, all the time under the watchful eye of our fully qualified and experienced full time instructor team.

We are confident that all their Go PRO training with us so far will show in their awesome performance as a PADI Instructor!
