The last group from Camps International has finally arrived at our premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre on Gaya Island, Tunku Abdul Rahman marine park, Kota Kinabalu!

This group is, like our previous (groups 9 & 10), are a combination of two: groups ‘Epal’ and ‘Orang Utan’, and totalling 49 participants – our biggest group so far to camp in our paradise!

After a welcome briefing delivered by resident Platinum PADI Course Director and Downbelow’s Managing Director Richard Swann, the group will proceed to experience the world of SCUBA under the instructional guidance and experienced supervision of our PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors. Everyone will participate in the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program if they wish, to see if they like scuba diving, and for those who LOVE it, they may continue their diver education to qualify as PADI Open Water Divers!

Through the island activities our Dive Centre facilities offer, such as snorkelling, kayaking and jungle trekking, the young adventurers’ will gain a deeper appreciation in the conservation of our local environment, which is the agenda behind our unique educational program created specially for our groups by experts of our Sabah Travel Centre!

It will be a bittersweet day when they leave their island home, but we can’t wait to welcome next years’
