Arriving Downbelow’s premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre are 28 cheeky monkeys – it’s going to be wild!
From Camps International UK, group ‘Monyet’ (‘Monkey’ in Malay) are our seventh wave of school students from the UK visiting Sabah, Borneo for a 1-month adventure to learn more about the tropical biodiversity!
With their safety under the supervision of our PADI professionals and island staff team at all times, the 28 will be camping on the island to experience SCUBA for the first time on the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program, which is a ‘Try Dive’ experience. Any participant who’s interested may continue on to the PADI Open Water Diver course, which takes between 3-4 days to gain the entry-level qualification. We’ve also got other island activities to gain a deeper appreciation about the exotic nature that can be found in Kota Kinabalu‘s TAR marine park, Gaya Island, where our paradise island beach house is located, such as snorkelling, kayaking and jungle trekking!
