Kinabatangan Wildlife Adventure Program
This package includes:

Please take note of the following Sabah Parks Regulations:
- only flashless photography is allowed near the turtles;
- video recording devices are not permitted;
- visitors are not allowed to move around the island on their own from 18:00 – 06:00;
You may want to bring: Insect repellent, raincoat, hat, leech socks, binoculars, torchlight, sunscreen, good walking shoes, comfortable cotton T-shirts, long sleeve shirt and long or short trousers, camera.
socks can be purchased from your guide at RM20 per pair (subject to change).
Kinabatangan Wildlife Adventure Program Itinerary
This Wildlife Adventure Program combines Turtle Island, Sepilok, Kinabatangan and Gomantong Caves in a great value package comprising simple, yet clean accommodation to maximize your wildlife experience without having to pay through the nose.
Day 1 (L/D)
Meet upon arrival at Sandakan airport or at the lobby of the hotel you’re staying at in Sandakan at 08:45.
Transfer to Crystal Quest Jetty and take an approximate 75 minute boat ride to Selingan Turtle Island.
Upon arrival on the island, check-in at Selingan Island Chalet; basic facilities with attached bathroom.
Have lunch, and spend time at your own leisure. Snorkeling and swimming is possible, with snorkeling equipment for rent at your own expense from the resort staff.
After dinner you gather in the cafeteria from where the rangers will call you to witness the turtles laying eggs. You’ll also visit the hatchery.
Overnight at Selingan Island Chalet.
Day 2 (B/L/D)
Breakfast is at 06:30 at the cafeteria before your 07:00 boat departs back to the Sandakan jetty.
From there you will transfer overland, in an air-conditioned van, to Gomantong Caves where you will explore the biggest birds’ nest cave in Sabah.
Continue the journey to your Boutique or Standard accommodations on the Kinabatangan River.
Check in to your accommodation, enjoy lunch and spend some time at your leisure.
At 16:00 you will embark on a boat safari to search for the curious proboscis monkeys that gather on the riverbank.
There is also a good chance to see numerous species of birds and other wildlife along the Kinabatangan River.
Return to your accommodation where dinner is provided and you will spend the night.
Day 3 (B, L, D)
(Exclude from 3D2N)
You’ll take an early morning boat cruise at 06:00 for bird watching and searching for other wildlife.
Return to the resort for breakfast and Oxbow Lake Trek (for Standard Accommodation) or Jungle Walk (2000M) around the resort (for Boutique Accommodation).
At 16:00 you will enjoy another river cruise in search of Borneo’s illusive wildlife.
Return to the resort for dinner and spend another night in the Borneo jungle.
Day 4 (B, L)
After breakfast you will transfer by road to Sandakan where you will visit Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre.
Witness the feeding of orphaned orang utans and watch the informative documentary.
Lunch at Local Restaurant and transfer to Sandakan airport or your Sandakan hotel.
Suggested flights:
Day 1 : Flight arrive Sandakan before 0800hrs
Day 3 (for 3D2N program) or 4 (for 4D3N program) : Any flights after 1400hrs.
