Tailor-made travel to the Heart of Borneo’s Wildlife

Cruising the Kinabatangan River in a little, white boat

Borneo’s wildlife is so unique and wonderful that a few days are required to truly appreciate these natural treasures.

The lodges that we use along the Kinabatangan River are located in the village of Bilit.

Chosen by us because it’s run by nature lovers, which shows in their knowledge and passion for the wildlife around them.

The village of Bilit is very, very small and therefor much quieter than the nearby town of Sukau.

Different lodges offer accommodation ranging from basic backpacker to comfortable boutique.

Our Photography Collections shows many images of the wildlife that we spotted throughout our travels whilst researching Sabah. All images were photographed on location in the wild by Richard Swann (Downbelows Managing Director).

Below are some suggested programs and itineraries.

We will arrange to collect you from Sandakan Airport or hotel. Nights can be added or taken away and itineraries can be combined to create your perfect tailor-made wildlife adventure.

Please contact us once you have browsed some of the options.
