Downbelow completed its International Clean-up Day activities with help from the KK dive club, Sabah Tourism, Sabah Parks and a good few friends.

The whole day was a huge success with a great effort from all the participants.

Everything from tyres to towels, bottles to buckets, car bumpers and washing machines were collected from the bays around Gaya.

We clean our reefs and beaches regularly, so we choose to snorkel from the boats to more inaccessible locations where we found lots of rubbish to take care of.

All staff, transfers, food and equipment along with management of the day were provided free by Downbelow.

Sabah parks provided gloves, bags and manpower, as well as waiving the park fees for the day.

All participants provided much needed manpower to get the job done. Big thanks to all our staff and all volunteers.
