Downbelow Marine and Wildlife Adventures resident Platinum PADI Course Director, Richard Swann, goes diving with Go PRO interns in the TAR marine park, Kota Kinabalu!
Our Go PRO interns receive a ‘Master Class’ in dive guiding to improve their awareness of our local environment and exercise their own sound judgment. There are a variety of environmental conditions that can effect a single dive, such as water visibility, temperature, current, and others. Richard encourages our interns to engage themselves in any opportunity at our dive operations that they may improve their dive leadership abilities.
Julia, from the US, is learning very quickly through the many scenarios to experience the dive lifestyle: from deploying a surface marker buoy with a dive reel to offering a student diver recommendations on dive equipment and/or dive travel; drawing on her own experience.
Our Go PRO interns will be completing the PADI Divemaster first and practising those skills they learn in that course as much as possible, before their next step: PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC).
Downbelow’s Go PRO team will be starting their next award-winning PADI IDC on May 26th to prepare the candidates for the next Kota Kinabalu PADI Instructor Examination (IE) on June 11th-12th!
For more information on how to enrol, contact one of our helpful and experienced Go PRO advisors based at our Kota Kinabalu HQ!
