Gaya Island is the perfect venue to experience different activities in 1 day.
Our Multi Activity Day offers the flexibility to scuba dive and sea kayak in one day !!!
Qualified Divers will enjoy 2 boat dives in the morning and those who have never tried before will be given a short academic session.
After highlighting safety, equipment & skills, a shallow dive in our lagoon is followed by an open water dive at our House Reef.
In the afternoon you will Sea Kayak to some secluded bays and see the island from a different perspective.
Gaya Island’s coast is draws a jagged outline with secluded bays where there’s nothing, but sand and the chance to see monkeys foraging for food.
Other hidden spaces include the intertidal zones of the mangrove swamps, that area between high tide and low tide with a mystical aura of its own.
From your sea kayak you will experience the islands of the Tunku Abdul Rahman park like few people do, with enough time stop and enjoy the view.
Daily Program
08:15 – Hotel pickup (KK city centre only including Tg Aru – subjected to confirmed bookings) transfer to Marina
08:30 – Meet Downbelow Staff & Transfer on Boat to Downbelow Dive & Adventure Centre on Gaya Island
08:45 – Registration & Payment
09:00 – Scuba Diving
13:00 – Lunch at the Dive & Adventure Centre
14:30 – Sea Kayaking
16:00 – Boat Transfer to Marina
16:30 – Return to Hotel
Please note that all programs last for the full day and our return transfer to the mainland is at 16:00.
If you would like to leave earlier this is classified as a private transfer and the cost is RM 100** per way (based on 1 – 4 pax).
We run daily picks ups from Kota Kinabalu City to our Dive Centre, please contact us for bookings.
