It’s a day to remember for our new PADI Divemaster Trainees, Mike and Kerri, as they take their PADI Open Water course!
But they won’t stop there – it’s the first qualification towards being a professional PADI Divemaster!
The boys are being trained by our most experienced of scuba diver trainers at Downbelow: resident Platinum PADI Course Director Richard Swann. For the added experience, his certified assistant Along, will be following their progress.
Along completed his Instructor Development Course (IDC) recently and his goal of becoming a PADI Instructor in the next instructor exam will be successful. His dive leadership, control and supervision will no doubt develop so much as he assists on PADI diver courses, and so useful for his future career in scuba diving education.
Along’s knowledge of scuba diving skills and theory will be an asset to Mike and Kerri; their understanding of a professional scuba diving career will be valuable when they discover their varied employment options.
Mike and Kerri are undergoing a program created by Downbelow called, “Work For a Career”, where by the end of one year they can be certified as a PADI Divemaster; opening a world of employment opportunities. Mike and Kerri will receive more than just a PADI Open Water certification; they acquire an understanding of the scuba diving industry.
Mike, Kerri and Along need to put in their hard work and keep up the great attitude and they will go far. Downbelow will make sure they Go PRO!
