Sabah, Borneo: Our Divemaster Internship program grew by 1 on Saturday when new Divemaster Intern Nigel joined us here on the lovely Gaya island off the coast of Sabah, Borneo.

Nigel from England will be on the Divemaster internship with us for the next month earning his stripes as a PADI Divemaster under the guidance of resident PADI Course Director Richard and his Go Pro Team.

It’s a great place to “work” and certainly one of best classrooms in Sabah, Borneo.

After a weekend of diving, Nigel is teaming up with other Divemaster interns Takeshi and Weijia as I type this, getting ready for a night dive.  It’s all part of the unlimited diving, which all our professional diving interns enjoy during their internship with us.

Apart from our Divemaster internship which is very popular at the moment, we also run 4 Instructor Development Courses IDC every year, which lends itself perfectly to internships too.

The internships are very flexible as long as they include the IDC dates and will benefit you because of the real world experience you will gain in our busy dive centre.

Additionally, if you arrive before the IDC you will gain skills and experience that will contribute to the learning curve of the IDC, or if you stay after the IDC you can gain experience as qualified Instructor and gain experience teaching real clients.

Either way, the 1 month (up to 6 month if you wish) internship will benefit you no end, and the unlimited diving means you can be in the water as much as your bottom time allows.

Stay tuned for the progress of our interns.
