There’s no way to avoid dive theory study if you want to Go PRO and become a PADI professional!
Our local Divemaster Trainees, Gary and Rev, studied hard to pass the examinations for their PADI Divemaster, but it was easy because they are passionate about diving!
Gary and Rev are in the last stage of completing their ‘Work For a Career’ program created by Downbelow and to show for their determination and dedication – they are certified PADI Divemasters now.
During their year with us, they have acquired so much valuable scuba diving industry knowledge and they will use their experiences with us to develop themselves in their future careers.
Now that Gary and Rev are PADI Divemasters, they will be able to conduct some PADI experience programs, such as Scuba Review and independently teach and certify PADI the Skin Diver course. They will eventually want to increase their instructional skills and continue their education to become a PADI Instructor. They’ve both had a lot of experience with assisting Downbelow’s PADI Instructors on various courses.
A PADI Divemaster is able to teach and certify PADI Digital Underwater Photography and PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider once successfully completing the Specialty Instructor course with a PADI Course Director – more experience of teaching and preparation for the Instructor Development Course.
Our ‘Work for a Career’ program is conducted to mix with our international Go PRO internships. Gary and Rev have learnt so much from frequent interaction with other internship candidates. New friendships have given them insight of other cultures, new languages and customs, so they will leave with not only with a professional rating, but also great memories.
We will miss Gary and Rev and we know their professional attitudes will take them far in their scuba diving careers!
Downbelow wish them luck on their Go PRO journey!
