Kota Kinabalu, Sabah: Our 3 Instructor Development Course (IDC) candidates, Alicen, Wayne and Kath, have been busy with Downbelow’s IDC since 28 May and have been hard at it ever since.
They’ve spent their days between presentations in our classrooms at the Downbelow HQ in KK Times Square, and practical session at our PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre on Gaya Island.
The Instructor Development Course, once the Instructor Exam has been passed, will qualify the candidates as Open Water SCUBA Instructors (OWSI), enabling them to enter the diving industry as professional diving instructors.
Becoming a dive instructor is the natural progression of the passion for diving when recreational divers Go Pro to teach their passion to others.
