The Salt Trails, or ‘Laluan Garam’ in Malay, is a route historically used by merchants to reach marketplaces far from their village settlements to trade their goods for salt, which is needed for food preservation.

On our 30-day Expedition Borneo! program, our second Danish adventure group complete the jungle trekking experience in 4 days and 3 nights to learn more about Sabah’s rich history and culture!

Along the route, our adventurers’ will cross rivers, walk suspension bridges and admire views of rolling green hills…during the day! Evenings are spent at villages to rest overnight for the following days’ trek. Local residents offer their wonderfully warm hospitality to welcome their international guests by introducing traditional entertainment and a banquet of delicious local dishes for dinner too!

Our travel experts will organize a suitable Expedition Borneo! program for any size adventure group to explore the amazing attractions of Sabah when you contact our Head Office in Kota Kinabalu!
