Pigtail Macaque (macaca nemestrina) prefers intact, high density lowland primary forests, but will occasionally be seen in swamp and secondary forest regions.
Widespread throughout South East Asia and living in large groups of 9 to 80 indivuduals, Pigtail Macaques are classified as a vunerable species.
The average life span of a Pigtail Macaque is 27 years.
