27 Students from the Polytechnic Sandakan visited Downbelow on Gaya Island to gain experience for their Tourism Management Diploma.
The fun loving group participated in our PADI Discover Scuba and a Coral Reef Conservation Program.
None of the group had ever dived before so this first time experience was a wonderful opportunity for them to learn about the underwater wonders Sabah has to offer & reinforce to them the reason so many divers travel to the region to dive.
Learning about the threats our reefs face was also an important message to send this group of future leaders of the tourism industry in the hope they will help us to protect this wonderful natural resource.
